Sport
In the summer, I am on my mountain bike. I rode as a pro in MTB stage races until 2004 and won some of them too – the Transalp Challenge three times (1999, 2001, 2003) and the Transrockies Challenge (2004) once. Today I manage my own mountain bike school, the “Lawnmowers”, and have been organizing mountain bike camps aimed especially at women for ten years now.
As a former ski racer in the DSV youth training program, the love for the mountains caught me early – regardless of whether in the summer or winter. The fact that mountain biking became my career and skiing my favourite hobby was more a coincidence than anything else.
In the winter I spend every free minute in the mountains and on the snow – whenever possible off the slopes with my Kiku. To lay some fresh tracks I’m more than ready to hike a few metres uphill. My favourite ski locations are La Grave, Dolomites (Pordoi) and Lech/Zürs.
What are your favourite aspects of the Attiva ski models from Völkl?
Natural is the only really logical way to go. The Attiva women’s line with the Bio-Logic concept is brimming with this naturalness. And I don’t just mean the design. Anyone who skis the Attiva immediately feels how normal and harmonious everything feels: a ski concept that I feel most at home with. Attiva and Bio-Logic have made unnatural stances – in the truest sense of the word – “old snow”. And best of all, the fun factor is present in full effect, because the feel is right from the start and gives you extra safety too.
