How has your skiing career made you a better person? You can’t put a price on all of the experiences I have had by just skiing and traveling. It has taught me more than I will ever know.

What is your favorite iphone app?
I have not yet taken the plunge into the deep end of technology that consists of iphone ownership. However, while in the company of a tech-savvy friend I have benefitted from the shazam app on multiple occasions when the recording artist of a specific song is in dispute.
Favorite peak, park, or course?
Ooh, toughie. I don’t think I can pin it down to one. There are so many great ski areas out there and I have so many great memories. I can pinpoint where I had my best day of powder skiing- Aspen, CO; my best day of free skiing- Alta Badia, Italy; and my best race result- Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
Superbowl, World Series, or Stanley Cup?
That really depends on who’s playing… as a loyal Minnesotan I feel the Stanley Cup is only appropriate, but if the Twins were in the World Series hands down that would win out; they’re my team. Then there is the one game intensity of the Superbowl that is so edge-of-your-seat exciting. It would also be incredible to be at the finals of the US Open. Above all, I am a sports fan.

I have a serious weak spot for peanut M&Ms.
If you could have a drink with anyone, who would it be?
Tina Fey, she is truly amazing- gut-bustingly funny and fantastically intelligent without ever taking herself too seriously.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Happy, healthy and doing something awesome.
Favorite ice cream flavor?
Peppermint Bon Bon. I believe it is a Midwestern thing; it is like mint chocolate chip, but instead of chocolate chunks there are flakes of chocolate that melt in your mouth.
If you had to spend a year somewhere with no snow, where would you be?
Thailand. I’ve just always wanted to go there and live out my Asian ancestry.

I have a small bladder…embarrassing.

Vehemently telling Goofy (yes, the beloved Disney character) that I could carry my skis myself while at Ski School on vacation in Vail circa 1989. Walking into the 2006 Olympic opening ceremonies is a close second.

That race tiger is awfully sexy, RAWR BABY, RAWR! The old Gotama Buddha is a close second; he had such a calming effect before dropping a cliff.
What’s the one misconception people have about you?
That I am good at basketball because I am tall. It truly is painful to watch me dribble.
Pulp or no pulp?
No pulp. I had an awkward decade of adolescence, memories of pulp in my braces has left me scarred for life.
If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Flying at the speed of light. I could race in Italy, catch dinner in Japan, and desert in Tahiti all before nestling into my own bed for a good nights sleep.

A clown suit of course.

Good books. I am a literary junkie.

Has it? Just kidding. It has taught me to be grateful for every day and every experience.

What is your favorite iphone app? I do not have a iphone, but I can tell you that my least favorite is the FART application. The noises from this application haunted dinners with my teammates this winter since they were constantly utilizing it.
Favorite peak, park, or course? Jay Peak, VT is my favorite mountain in the entire world because it represents old fashioned New England skiing and I have wonderful memories of skiing there with my family. The weather at Jay has given me both frostbite and sun poisoning!
Superbowl, World Series, or Stanley Cup? I am a Red Sox fan and would kill to watch them play in the World Series. However, if my brother, who plays hockey at Yale University, makes it to the NHL, I would have to choose the Stanley cup.

If you could have a drink with anyone, who would it be? My friends.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself being a homemaker. I hope that I am living in a house with a nice deck.

#1 skiing memory? So many fantastic memories. Skiing glades at Jay Peak. Going off a jump that my dad built in our backyard under lights. Training ballet at Waterville Valley. Winning my first World Cup four days before my 18th birthday. Skiing with a friend who was learning to telemark and whose binding would spontaneously detach from his ski.
What’s the one misconception people have about you? That I don't know how to relax.
What are you wearing right this minute? A black, cotton dress.
Pulp or no pulp? Either will do, but hold the high fructose corn syrup.
If you could have one super power, what would it be? I desire the ability to teleport. I would sleep in my own bed every night and travel to a different country every night for dinner.
What was your favorite Halloween costume? My grandmother used to hand sew costumes for my brother and I. He was a carrot and I was a rabbit. He was a cowboy and I was a horse. The most elaborate costume I ever made, turned me into a woman holding her own head.
How has your skiing career made you a better person? I have met people that have taught me patience, work ethic, and how to have fun.
One thing not many people know about you? I am a bit of a hermit. Also, I am very organized.

What’s the one misconception people have about you? People often say to me, "I can never tell when your joking or serious." I reply, "I am always serious." They usually take it as a joke.
What are you wearing right this minute? Penny Loafers.
Pulp or no pulp? Pulp. It's a little tougher to get down, but life is better when it's thicker.
If you could have one super power, what would it be? To fly. I think it would be pretty useful to a Freestyle Aerial skier.
What was your favorite Halloween costume? You would be surprised at how many people will go back inside their homes and search for candy to give you if you go trick or treating in June.
One thing you couldn’t live without? My Skis.
How has your skiing career made you a better person? Skiing has given me the opportunity to learn about, and be around excellence. What I have learned, and the steps I have taken to come closer to being excellent at skiing, I hope to bring with me forever.
Hot sauce or sweet & sour? Hot sauce. Anytime someone bets me 10 bucks to drink a spoon full of hot sauce, I respond by saying, I'll give you 10 bucks if you let me drink the bottle. Then I regret my poor decision making skills.

My first World Championships in Meirengen, Switzerland. I thought it was the most beautiful place in the world.

What’s the one misconception people have about you?
Not too many misconceptions out there that I know about. I'm pretty open book... I work hard when it's time to work hard and I play hard when it's time to play. I love an adventure. Perhaps focus on the hill during competitions could be misconstrued for something else, but it's just comp day intensity. Once it's over, I'm much more mellow.
What are you wearing right this minute? Pink Tank, jeans and flip flops, pretty standard.
If you could have one super power, what would it be?
To fly. Gravity makes my life challenging sometimes, but maybe that would make it too easy... maybe just for a day.
What was your favorite Halloween costume? A cheerleader, I did back flips all night.
One thing you couldn’t live without? My family.
How has your skiing career made you a better person? I've learned a lot about myself through skiing. I've learned how to be strong, determined and focused, but also learned to be patient with myself and others. There will always be challenging times. It's how we deal with them that is important. Learn from every situation and always appreciate the journey.
