We recommend that you visit your local Völkl retailer. They are highly trained on our products and can help you chose the best ski
Where can I demo Völkl Skis?
There are many demo events across the country in the early season. Virtually all of these events occur between late November and early January. The best way to find these events is to check with your local ski area. Another good resource for demos is your local Völkl retailer or a shop near the area where you ski.
What is the proper ski size for me?
Völkl recommend sizing customers for skis with the “Use your Head” method. The key to this rule is simplicity. For Type 1 (novice) skier, size the skis with the tip approximately chin height. For Type 2 (intermediate) skier, use approximately nose height. Type 3 (expert) skiers will be sized correctly when the ski tip is at forehead height. Note: There are a few exceptions to the rule to be aware of. Slalom racing skis like the Racetiger SL Racing and the SL Race Stock will be sized considerably shorter. In racing women generally use a 155cm and men use a 165cm. Powder specific skis like the Gotama or Katana are sized longer, mainly for expert skiers. For the best sizing advice, ask your local Völkl retailer.

What are the recommend tuning specs for Völkl skis?
The factory specs of all adult models are the same. 2 degree bevel on the side edge and a 1 degree bevel on the base edge.

What is Völkl’s warranty policy?
Völkl warranty covers all manufactured defects in materials and workmanship for one year from date of purchase when bought from an authorized retail dealer. The product will be repaired or replaced if approved by the Volkl warranty service technicians.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect or normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by improper storage, oxidized or rusted hardware.
  • Damage resulting from tuning machines, grinders or waxes, including solvents, cleaners and polishes.
  • Any type of impact damage resulting in cosmetic/top edge damage, i.e. top sheet chipping

WHAT TO DO
Return your product to the Völkl retailer it was originally purchased from if possible. Also bring a proof of purchase showing you are the original purchaser of the product. The retailer along with Völkl will determine if the product is eligible for warranty. If so they will then obtain a return authorization number from Völkl.

SHIPPING & TURNAROUND
The purchaser is solely responsible for the cost incurred to return the product to Völkl. All product returned by Fed-ex, UPS overnight, 2 day or 3 day will be returned the same way. Warranty estimated turnaround time is 2 business days on replacements and 3 business days on repairs.

Völkl will first try to repair the product and will only replace it if it cannot be repaired. It will be replaced with an equal valued product to be determined by Völkl. If that product or equal is not available we will upgrade where applicable.

ALL PRODUCTS RETURNED TO VÖLKL REQUIRE A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN REFUSAL OF THE PACKAGE. Please read our FAQ's below before contacting us as your question could be answered there!

WARRANTY FAQ's
Who pays for shipping and how long will it take?
You the consumer are responsible for all shipping charges to send the product back to Völkl. Völkl will pay all shipping charges to return the product back to the Dealer. Warranty returns sent to Volkl via Overnight, 2nd Day Air or Ground will be return shipped via the same method at Völkl's expense. Your product will be evaluated and processed within 2 business days of receiving. This does not include the shipping time, holidays, weekends or any delays due to catastrophe. Völkl is not responsible for any delays incurred by the retailer.

What if I purchased my product over the internet?
Most all authorized Völkl online dealers have some sort of return procedure. Check their websites for information and instructions.

I bought my product on Ebay &what now?
Unless the seller is an authorized dealer, there is no warranty. Buying Völkl product on Ebay from an unauthorized dealer is like buying second hand merchandise. The warranty is for the original purchaser of the product from an authorized retailer.

What if I lost my proof of purchase or receipt?
We will determine the warranty period based on the date your product was originally manufactured. Can I order parts direct as a consumer? Völkl does not sell direct to consumers at this time. Your retailer can order parts that are replaceable on any of our products by request.

Does Völkl have a repair facility?
Yes, in some cases we are able to repair certain damage. However most shops have the ability to do the same repairs.

I bought my skis in Colorado and I live in NY, what do I do?
As long as you can prove you are the original purchaser of the skis and there is a clear unquestionable defect, any Völkl retailer should be able to help you have the skis returned.

What is not covered in Völkl's warranty policy? Völkl is not responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred due to loss of use of the product. Völkl's warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect or normal wear-and-tear.
  • Damage caused during storage.
  • Oxidized or rusted components, such as hardware and edges
  • Damage resulting from tuning machines, grinders or waxes, including solvents, cleaners and polishes. - Improper fitting or sizing of products.
  • Any type of impact damage resulting in cosmetic/top edge damage, i.e. top sheet chipping.
  • Ski damage resulting from improper mounting of bindings. Including the use of incorrect mounting hardware, or dimples in the base as a result of improper mounting.
