Double Grip XTD
Since the invention of the carving style, at the latest, an optimum edge grip has been an essential component of skiing.
In order to make the spread of power over the edges of the skis as good as possible, VÖLKL has developed the DOUBLE GRIP principle: double
the height, double the edge grip! The doubling of the WOOD CORE construction using a second wooden core over the edges enables a higher position
with better leverage. With DOUBLE GRIP XTD, the additional WOOD CORE stretches through the entire length of the ski. The constant flex of the skis
becomes rounder and more harmonious as a result. The result is the best and most precise edge grip that has ever been developed. Unshakable hold
that you can rely on, so you can carve your tracks in the snow at high speed. DOUBLE GRIP XTD was designed together with the iPT MOTION binding
system that is fully integrated into the ski.
Power Grip
In terms of construction, POWER GRIP achieves more edge pressure in the binding area with its new 3D design. In comparison to
the DOUBLE GRIPXTD construction, the ski construction has a slightly lower side wall, which makes the contact between ski boot and edge more direct.
In a precise interplay with the 3MOTION binding system, which has been designed especially for POWER GRIP, the ski achieves an optimum relation from
the powerful edge grip, rounder flex in the binding area and an athletic, but not overly aggressive nature. More grip for less effort!
Double Grip LT
Edge grip isn't just a privilege for professionals - the opposite, in fact: optimum hold makes it possible to learn
quickly, especially for beginners. Therefore VÖLKL have equipped their really light ski models, which are very popular among beginners, with
a special version of the DOUBLE GRIP construction: DOUBLE GRIP LT. With its ultraÖlight construction, the ski has so much height over the edges
that the higher pressure can clearly be felt Ö and the ski is neither too easily influenced nor too aggressive.
