: DOUBLE GRIP TECHNOLOGY |

EXTENDED DOUBLE GRIP
The latest development in Völkl's signature Double Grip constructions, Extended Double Grip brings yet another
leap forward in performance. The extra wood core in each chamber now extends from tip to tail, providing more uniform grip, and
allowing an even better balance between torsional and longitudinal flex. The most efficient construction Völkl has ever created
is found on the new Racetigers and the new Allstar flagship in the Supersport series.

DOUBLE GRIP
Originally developed for the Supersport 5 Star, Double Grip construction is the technological foundation upon
which all other Völkl construction techniques are built. Double Grip technology can now be found in almost every Series. |
DOUBLE GRIP LT
The new Double Grip LT construction uses a dual-chamber arrangement similar to the original Double Grip layup.
Rather than additional wood cores, additional fiberglass is used within each chamber to provide better grip through added support for the
edge. |

VOLKL WOOD CORES
Völkl is well known for producing the highest quality wood core skis. Our engineers believe that wood cores
provide the ultimate smoothness, power, stability, and durability for high performance skiing. Völkl uses two different types of
wood core configurations.
|
 |
Our highest performance models feature the Sensorwood Core (left.) Consisting of vertically laminated sections of
Poppel wood, Sensorwood cores are CNC milled to incredible precision. Völkl produces our own wood cores to ensure perfect consistency
and quality. This illustration shows a Sensorwood Core in a Double Grip congiuration - note the two wood chambers above the regular
core.

|
The Wood Cell Core (left) utilizes four independent wood stringers encased in polyurethane. The resulting core is
softer flexing and more forgiving than the Sensorwood core, yet incredibly lively and precise.

DIMENSION-3 SIDECUTS
An original Völkl technology, Dimension-3 sidecuts are an important reason that our skis perform so well.
Völkl engineers design Dimension-3 sidecuts using computer models of the ski in a flexed condition - simulating a ski turn.
The result is a more natural, elongated sidecut shape which, when engaged, contacts the snow with exceptionally even pressure. The result
is a smoothness and precision that no non-Dimension-3 ski can equal.
