In the Summer: Summer is all about downhill mountain biking, growing vegetables, fishing, and lake swimming. Hopefully kiteboarding this year too!

Best ski town watering hole: Best US ski-town bar is the Sitzmark at the Alta Lodge. Best Canadian ski-town bar is the GLC at Whistler. Can anyone argue?

Career highlights: Snowbird was the first contest I ever entered. I did not know a soul. I saw Dave Swanwick at registration and then tried to follow him skiing that afternoon. I remember riding the tram with Allison Gannett, who smoothly used a credit card to wipe condensation. Shane McConkey was there too, but his mom Glenn competing is what impressed me, especially watching her take off the start. Gordy Pfeiffer, Jeremy Nobis, and Dave McReynolds were all there, and I realized I had a long ways to go...I was there on rental bindings and did not own a helmet.

Iceland is pretty cool, with promising mountains!
