Sixteen year old Emilia Wint has only been on the freeskiing scene for three years. Born and raised in Denver, CO, skiing has been a part of her life from an early age.

Almost every winter weekend, starting at age three, has been spent on the slopes of her home mountain, Breckenridge, CO. She spent a year racing, and two snowboarding, but was ultimately drawn to park skiing. She joined Hawks Freeride Team, led by Chris Hawks, in the 2008/'09 season. She began competing in small USASA events in the '08/'09 season. At the end of the season she entered her first open competition, Spring Massive Slopestyle at Breckenridge. She ended up winning which propelled her into the next season with confidence. After becoming regional champion in both USASA and USSA events, she claimed the women’s USASA National Champion title for slopestyle in 2010.

The 2011 season started off with a bang when she was selected for the Breckenridge Freeride Team. She proceeded to excel, winning multiple local contests, and beginning to make a name for herself at the bigger competitions. She placed 11th and 8th at the Breckenridge and Snowbasin Dew Tour stops, respectively. The highlight of her season came with an invitation to the Nine Queens event in Austria. After submitting a video, she got a last minute call from Nico Zacek and boarded a flight to Austria two days later. After an incredible week of skiing, she returned home and didn't waste time in claiming USSA regional and USASA national titles for the second year in a row. In the off season, Emilia plays the goalie position for Denver East’s Field Hockey team. In the ‘09 season, her team made it to the state championship game, and was crowned second in the state. This was the first time in ten years a women’s sport made it to state at East High. Hopefully you'll see this up and comer on the podium in 2012!
